A former classical musician, Stephanie Williams has scooped up her music background and brought it along for the ride into the world of filmmaking. After spending her undergraduate degree exploring the world of film theory, history, and production, she pursued her long-seated desire to direct by completing the MFA in Production program at the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts. Drawing inspiration from her past experiences, Stephanie strives to make films that combine her love of sound editing, quirky sense of humor, and attachment to character-driven narratives. As an editor, she uses these same inspirations over a wide range of styles to find the best avenue with which to express story and emotion.
Since moving to Los Angeles in the Fall of 2014, Stephanie has been working steadily as a freelance editor, as well as enjoying the experience of working in the feature film world as the Post Production Assistant on Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, and, currently, as Post Production Coordinator on John Lee Hancock's The Founder.
